has danced for 19 years and counting. It all started at Thomas G. Pullen Magnet Middle School, this school allowed her to explore her other talents in piano, voice, acting and flute. From there she went to Suitland High School (VPA). Techniques she studied was Ballet, Pointe, Ballet Partnering, Paul Taylor, Modern and Jazz. She was in VPA Dance, Basu Dance and Pom Poms for two years. Pursuing her dancing career, she moved to New York City where she attended Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus! She studied Ballet, Wellness, Choreography, Graham, Modern, Yoga, Limon, Pilates, and the Alexander techniques and minored in kinetics for three years. After her third year she left LIU to attend Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre’s “The Ailey School” Independent Study Program where she was taught by actual Ailey performers. She also did their residency program when she was sixteen years old. Prior dance training was obtained through Dance Theatre of Harlem’s Residency Program for five years in Washington, DC. She has taken class, taught and choreographed at Marcellus Dance Studio and Diva Works Dance. At Diva Works she directed a summer dance camp for five consecutive years at Bladensburg Community Center. Recently she taught Pilates/ Yoga & Jazz Dance at Bowie State University, Ballet/Tap, Jazz/Hip Hop, Dance Aerobics, Pilates/Yoga at Seat Pleasants Feggans Center, and Ballet/Jazz/Modern at Palmer Park Community Center. At Palmer Park she choreographed for the 1st place Six Flags Competition Dance Group... The Diamond Dancers. She also contributes to Bladensburg’s Port Towns Youth Council. Not to mention she is CPR/AED/First-Aid Certified in all ages. She believes that in order for one to accomplish their dreams, they must believe in one self. Sajanee will always encourage the heart of dance!

is currently studying Early Childhood Education and Dance Performance at Towson University. She obtains the 90 clock hours certification for Child Care and is Basic First Aid/CPR/AED Certified. She has 12 years of dancing experience with receiving training during the past 6. She has trained and performed with Central Maryland School of Ballet, Howard Community College/HCC Dance Company, D’Amour School of Dance, is the President and Choreographer for the Imaife Dance Ministry in Baltimore, and was the Executive Director for Howard County Ballet where she taught, received training and performed. She is the Founder and Director of Elsie M. Brown School of the Arts. She believes that with drive, strong will, commitment, discipline, dedication and consistency; we all can conquer and/or accomplish anything that we put our minds to, especially pertaining to dance.
Michael Weems

Born in Washington, D.C., he began his dance training at the age of fourteen at Suitland High School's Visual and Performing Arts Program. There under the direction of Barbara Marks, Alice Howes and Linda Hallman Darr he studied four years of Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Ethnic, and Choreography. While at Suitland he had the opportunity to study abroad with the Dance Theater of Harlem in their Residency Program at the Kennedy Center and with DC's Showbiz Kidz Hip Hop Company. He has had the pleasure of working with Kim Bears-Bailey and Kevin Malone of Philadanco. Fabian Barnes and Dean Anderson of the Dance Institute of Washington. Faye Snow, Brian Sanders, Christopher Huggins, Debbie Allen, Roni Koresh, Rennie Harris and many more. Mike was also a member of Philadelphia based modern company Eleone Dance Theater. He was also a member of Artists in Rhythm Contemperary Dance Company, and briefly with Charles Anderson's Dance Theater X.  Mike recieved his Bachelors Degree in Jazz Dance Performance from the University of the Arts in 2007. Since the age of fourteen he has also Choreographed and taught Hip Hop, Jazz, Modern, Ballet, Contemporary, Cheerleading, Step Routines and Musical Theater.  He would like to thank God, his family and friends for their love and support.

Keira Turner

Keira Turner is a native Washingtonian and has been dancing and performing since childhood.  She began her extensive dance studies at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts Dance Department, under the direction of Lynn B. Welters; graduating in 2000. While in high school she also attended the John F. Kennedy Center/Dance Theatre of Harlem Residency Program and The Alvin Ailey School’s Summer Intensive.  In the fall of 2000 she became a full-time student in The Ailey School’s Fellowship Program.  In addition she studied in the Professional Programs of the Dance Theatre of Harlem (DTH) School and Ballet Hispanico; attending both on scholarship, and was a scholarship recipient to STEPS on Broadway and The  Peridance Center as well.  Keira has taught ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop in both the metropolitan New York and Washington, DC areas.  She began her teaching as a student and performer with the DTH Dancing Through Barriers Ensemble Program at the Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. Elementary School in 2001. Keira has been a member of many dance companies and troupes ranging from traditional concert dance to arena football and worked with Debbie Allen, Brian Freidman and Troy Powell to name a few.  She is currently a member of XFaction Dance Company most recently performing with The Diva League ™ on America’s Got Talent making it to the Top 40 acts as a wildcard.  This is Ms. Turner’s first year with D’Amour School of Dance. 

Namaad Jackson
Hip Hop
Instructor
Is a Hip Hop dancer and Choreographer since the age of four with training and dedication, at the age of 13 Namaad joined his high school dance team where he was the captian and choreographer. Getting his first job teaching at the YMCA Center, he was able to teach the history of Hip Hop culture and add his own style. Only at 17 yrs old Namaad met Zedric Bembry, (Founder of "Live in Color") and he performed with the group "Live in Color”. For now, he was able to start a dance group called "Kaution Dance Krew". With this group he was able go to Las Vegas and compete in the Hip Hop International World
Championships, where he they met other famous dancers like Shane Sparks, Beats Freaks,
Super Crew, Kaba Modern, and he had met and perform with ABDC's very own Fanny Pak. Namaad is currently teaching at Joy Of Motion Dance Center and D’Amour School of Dance where he continues to show his choreography and the history of the hip hop culture and not to mention to inspire other young talented dancer throughout the DMV Area.
